This was an amazing project, and I got to do something really different. I hope you enjoy it :))
so you know when you’re in the shower and you think about stuff? i like thinking about what i’d do if someone let me reboot a show and do whatever i want with it, and recently i’ve come to the realization that if i ever got to reboot yuyu hakusho (haha like they’d let me near it) i’d flip kurama’s gender.
now before you jump on me let me explain u a thing
1) it’s not because i’m trying to “fix” yuyu or “fix” kurama, i just think it’d be cool for reasons i’m about to explain
2) it’s not so that kurama/hiei would be “socially acceptable” and it’s not erasing a queer pairing because queerbaiting =/= canon queer characters. now if i was flipping sensui’s gender we could talk about erasure, but that’s beside the point.
3) i am fully aware of what the filipino dub did, but that’s not what i want
now that i’ve said that, there are so many reasons this idea appeals to me you don’t even know
(jump for some lengthy discussion of gender representation in yuyu, gender stereotypes, karasu as sexual predator, east asian fox spirit mythology, etc.)
Local Pup Makes Best of Rainy Day
Buddy the pug was initially bummed with the weather forecast called for a week of rain. He moped around the house and bit and flipped on the TV to program his DVR for a few days of indoor entertainment.
But then he thought, what the heck, there’s still fun to be had outside. So he strapped on his raincoat and ventured off into the wet world.
“He had a blast,” reports Raven Gilbert. “Jumping in puddles, splashing through the street. He was filthy by the end of the day, but he loved it.”
Still, while the rain ended up being okay, it’s supposed to be sunny this weekend and Buddy can’t wait.
